Over the last decade, Leslie Hittmeier has come to find her place in the mountains, camera in hand. She works with both stills and motion alongside some of the world’s best adventure sports athletes. She’s documented skiers and snowboarders on consequential lines in the Tetons, powder pillows in Japan, steep couloirs in Chamonix and most notably a first descent in Alaska’s Fairweather range.

Just as she knows how to get from alpine start coffee to the top of a peak and back down to camp, she equally has the endurance to get a film from a storyboard to the editing bay. She produced, co-directed, and shot a documentary film, Pretty Strong, following some of the world’s best female rock climbers, a vital experience in understanding how to honestly capture the human experience - from inception to the premiere event. In 2021 she was a principal cinematographer for episode one of HBO’s Edge of the Earth series, which follows four groups of elite action-adventure athletes are followed on four unique, never-before-accomplished missions around the globe.

Leslie has had the pleasure of working on a contract and freelance basis with companies like HBO, Teton Gravity Research, Patagonia, Rivian, Red Bull, Montana Tourism, The North Face,  Smith Optics, Arc'Teryx, The Ski Journal, Snowboarder Magazine, The FlyFish Journal, and more.
